Kahvarah is the product of the love of cultures, paradoxes and art. It aims to translate the beauty and versatile nature of Africa into an internationally relatable brand.
First founded in 2011 by Valerie Amani, the name was conceptualized in 2009 by the designer’s brother, and is a combination of the names of her and her siblings (Kaneja, Valerie and Rachel). The brand therefore has its foundation in family, unity and love. Anything is possible through the power of community and teamwork.
The brand aims to pay close attention to detail, build a relationship with its clientele and tell a story through every item of clothing. We believe that a garment is not just a garment, but also a reflection of the person wearing it.
It is with this philosophy that all our clothes come to be. We embrace asymmetrical design lines and colour and find inspiration from the worlds teachings. Every collection has an underlying story and every item its own personality.
Born in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, Valerie had the opportunity to live and experience various African countries from a young age and realizes that the soul of the brand lies in the secrets of the African continent.
